Moving Countries, Life, Promises.

View from Pendle Hill, country adventures!
I have a terrible habit of neglecting this site despite direct debits coming out for it regularly - a reminder of my horrendous attitude to this project. I apologise, I can't think of a good enough excuse other than moving countries is a lot more difficult when you have a shipping containers worth of stuff and £20 in your bank account!

However, I made it! Derry was an adventure - one I'll never forget but also one I'm not keen to repeat anytime soon (the actual experience of what happened, not the city itself. I LOVE Derry and miss it terribly). I've found myself in a much better place, and I can't wait to tell you all about it!

I've thrown out the Filofax in exchange for Leuchtturm 1917, ~art therapy~ and whatnot.
I'm back in good ol' Lancashire - it's like a magnet; I keep finding myself back here... - and I'm very happy about it. I found myself a job at a hospital - one that I would've applied for much sooner, had I known what I wanted to do with my life. Re the job, it's amazing! I love every bit of it so far, I can't think of a better place to grow and learn, it's the complete opposite of academia and if I had known I wanted to go clinical/mental health route, then I would've done this as soon as I graduated from Sheffield. But, life is a big learning experience I guess, and the most important thing is that I'm doing work I enjoy. I've been given training in a million and one areas, welcomed to a team that has a family mentality and given free meals (seriously, you should see my fat ass come meal times - I get  very "passionate"). Work is actually fun - my colleagues are hilarious to work with (but still very professional of course) and although some days are more mentally exerting than others, I can't imagine myself being in any other field. Psychology is home: My big, dysfunctional, cat inhabited home... Cat shelter, I've described a cat shelter.

Big eared, big eyed princess! Adorable as ever.
Speaking of, cats are happy. Bambi still hates Skepta, and Skepta is still annoyingly clingy.

Aside from moving and working, the UK has had snow, Brexit has been a hilarious debacle, Trump has said questionable things re gun control, Kim Jonghyun and Dolores O'Riordan both passed away and I bought a laptop I can't afford.

This was only this morning! Came out of nowhere, what a beautiful sight!
I wish I had better excuses and a better explanation but the truth is I've been both lazy and busy (yes, it is possible). I can only promise now that things get back on track and I start posting regularly again, starting with tomorrow's ABC's of the DSM V! Now that I've started using a bullet journal, I've got a better idea of how to organise everything, so a site makeover and more content is coming your way!
